Card Making

I'm new to the card making craft, but I find it very enjoyable. Here were some of the first cards I made.  I'm also new to photographing them for the web so that's a work in progress too : )

This one I scraplifted.  I can't remember where I saw it, but I used the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge.  I made it for my Dad's bday. I have to get better at giving props too : )
I made this one using Groovy Times Cricut cartridge for my aunt's birthday. Obviously she loves purses : )
This one is my favorite.  My cousin is a bit of a rebel so I made this for her 21st using the Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge.
Create a Critter Cartridge with this one.  My hairstylist had a new baby girl, her 4th.

More to come!  Hopefully they get better : )

Barefoot Sandals

My husband and I got married on the beach.  My big thing was being able to wear Barefoot Sandals.  I saw them on the internet and loved them!  I bought a pair for my daughter and I.  My daughter was 3 at the time.  When I got hers in they didn't fit.  I tried to find some smaller ones, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I like to think I'm a pretty good internet searcher too.  So, I had to make her some.  I pulled out the bracelet making kit that she got for her birthday and this is what I came up with.  The sand dollars were real, some of the many we collect at the beach each summer.  Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of the back, but one foot had her first name and the other had her last name.  I'm going to make more for our Disney cruise this summer!  I'm so excited for both!!

Valentine's Day

I'm finally writing my very first blog.  I have to admit I was a huge slacker and I'm nervous, but let's see how it goes.  Valentine's Day...one of my favorite holidays.  Mainly because I love hearts.  Most of my jewelry is in the shape of a heart, including the stone on my engagement ring.  This year I decided to make my husband a meat pie.  He's from London...big thing at the Futbol games.  I just happened to be at Williams Sonoma and they just happened to have a heart shaped mold.  Of course I bought it and went home to try it out.

That's how they looked.  It took me a few tries but I finally got it.  They tasted pretty good too.  Ground turkey, potatoes, and carrots, with a little bit of brown gravy.

Next was dessert.

Cherry Pie <3  I cheated a bit, I made the crust but the filling was store bought.  I then decided to make homemade candies for my boys.  I made coconut filled, peanut butter filled, ganache filled, and a few spice.  I had to decorate a tin to send to my son in Vegas.

Last thing were the sweets that I made with my little ones and Miss Breann.  The pretty ones belong to Miss Breann : )

I gained 3 lbs this Valentines : )  I'm not allowed to make anymore sweets this month : (  lol!
